The Performance Agency is co-owned and co-managed by Chris Davis and Maria McAllum. Chris sources talent and coordinates most of the bookings. Maria sees to all the important details such as travel, accommodation and invoicing.
Chris is a circus, corporate, and festival entertainer with over 16 years experience. He began performing in 1993 and has been professional since 1999. He has performed in many different countries and his performances range across a huge variety of events and venues. Chris regularly travels nationally and internationally to perform.
Chris's past clients and events include Air New Zealand, Television New Zealand, Australia's Channel Ten, Whitebait Television, Christchurch World Buskers Festival, Melbourne Cup Day at Flemington, Konica Minolta, Michael Hill Jewelers, The MCG - Melbourne Cricket Ground, The Auckland Easter Show, BBC, Harcourts Real Estate, Louis Vuitton, UK Universities, Christchurch Casino, Hokitika Wildfoods Festival, Rotorua Business Awards, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The United States Antarctic Program, The Royal Agricultural Show, Unismart, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Alexandra Blossom Festival, Christchurch Race Week, Netherlands' World Statues Festival (etc).
Chris also lectures at universities around New Zealand and the United Kingdom as part of the Unismart program. Chris is a qualified primary school teacher and has an honours degree in Social Sciences majoring in philosophy.
Maria keeps everything at TNZPA rolling smoothly. Maria has travelled extensively and lived in many countries. She attended high school in Germany, lived in a Buddhist monastery in the South of France, studied with a Kahuna in Hawaii, taught in a Steiner School in India, and worked in Calcutta in a hospice for disabled women with Mother Theresa's nuns. Maria has a Bachelor of Science majoring in Earth Sciences.
Maria and Chris are married with three children. They live part time in an 1860's cottage in Lyttelton (near Christchurch) and part time on their organic property on Banks Peninsula.
